About the artist

Based in Fridley, Minnesota, Elliott “Fun Guy” Mason is the tattoo artist behind Funguy Tattoos - known for combining high-level artistry with humor, heart, and a highly personal approach. He began his tattooing career in November of 2023, apprenticing at Creative Images Tattoos and Body Piercing, where he honed his skills in both walk-in tattoos and custom design work.

Originally from Andover, MN, Elliott holds a Bachelor of the Arts from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. His creative background runs deep, from fine art to functional crafts, and he brings that multidisciplinary spirit into every tattoo he creates.

Outside the studio, Elliott spends his time adventuring. With a touch of wanderlust this fun guy enjoys rock-climbing, hiking, and foraging in the woods. When he needs to recharge inside he is an avid gamer and loves getting messy crafting. Staying active and creatively engaged off the clock helps Funguy fuel his energy in the studio - keeping his tattoo work focused, thoughtful, and constantly evolving.

For Elliott, tattooing is more than a profession - it’s a practice that dusts off the spirit and resonates with the soul. His goal with every client is to create a tattoo experience that’s not only technically clean and visually impactful, but positive, personal, and unforgettable.

Currently, Fun Guy is in the process of developing his own unique tattooing style - one that blends bold designs, dynamic linework, and more. He loves working on a wide variety of projects, from bold American traditional tattoos to exotic Japanese-inspired motifs, bright, saturated color work, and soft-shaded black and grey. Whether you're bringing in a fully realized concept or just an idea waiting to be explored, Elliott is excited to collaborate.
